"Sunshine State" is a mixed media collage about the feeling of growing up in a place and feeling isolated by absence of your culture. The piece features the Filipino sun, a symbol of my heritage, as well as Floridian maps and newspapers.

“The New Future” is a collage piece made using water, glue, acrylic paint, marker, and old magazines. The piece is aimed to evoke thoughts about the past, present, and future and the knowledge that every person experiences each of those differently.

"Locally Grown" is a mixed media art piece that touches on the topic of hometown and familiarity. Made using the scraps of local South Florida newspapers, the piece is aimed to highlight the common viewpoint of many Floridians who are not so fond of the swampy, overcrowded environment and includes stereotypical subjects of local/invasive animals and climate change.
